Complete checklist of all required documents for change-of-use permits

Required Documents

Application Form*

Complete change-of-use permit application form with detailed description of proposed use

Floor Plans*

Current floor plans showing existing layout and proposed modifications for new use

Description of New Use*

Detailed written description of the proposed new use and any operational changes

Parking Analysis*

Parking study showing adequate parking for the proposed use based on zoning requirements

Fire Safety Plan*

Fire safety and emergency egress plan for the new use, prepared by qualified professional

Original Building Permit*

Copy of the original building permit and any subsequent permits for the structure

Zoning Compliance Letter

Letter from Town and Country Planning confirming new use complies with zoning

Traffic Impact Study

Traffic study for uses that may significantly increase vehicle traffic

Submission Requirements
  • All plans must be prepared by a registered architect or engineer
  • Submit 3 hard copies and 1 digital copy (PDF) of all documents
  • Include comparison table showing differences between current and proposed use
  • Provide evidence of compliance with accessibility requirements
  • Application fee must be paid before submission
